Warwick Art Gallery will once again become a vibrant hub of creativity during this year's Jumpers and Jazz in July Festival, presenting a diverse program of exhibitions, talks, tours, markets and special events celebrating art, craftsmanship and community.

The much-loved Yarnbombed Tree Exhibition will transform Warwick's streets into a colourful outdoor gallery, showcasing the extraordinary creativity of participants from across the region and beyond. Festival visitors can join one of three guided walking tours to learn more about the stories, techniques and community spirit behind the spectacular installations.

The winners of the 2026 Yarnbombed Tree Exhibition will be announced at 12 noon on Saturday 18 July, recognising the outstanding artistry and imagination that have become hallmarks of the festival.

Inside the gallery, visitors can explore Out of my Suitcase, a major exhibition by artist Sue Dennis in the Main Gallery. Drawing inspiration from journeys, collections and experiences gathered over time, the exhibition invites audiences to reflect on travel, memory and connection.

For one week only, the internationally celebrated community art project The Red Dress will be exhibited in the Grove Gallery. Created by British artist Kirstie Macleod, The Red Dress is a global collaborative embroidery project featuring contributions from hundreds of makers across the world. Visitors will also have the opportunity to hear directly from Macleod during a special artist talk exploring the remarkable story behind the work and its worldwide journey.

Sharing the Grove Gallery is Warwick artisan Graeme Smith, whose exhibition Against the Grain features contemporary furniture that reflect a lifetime of craftsmanship. A former boat builder, Smith combines precision, innovation and fine timber workmanship to create distinctive pieces that blur the line between functional design and sculpture.

On Saturday 18 July, the Gallery's popular Artisan Market will showcase handcrafted works by talented local and regional makers, providing visitors with the opportunity to meet artists, purchase unique creations and experience the thriving creative culture of the Southern Downs. Adding to the festival atmosphere, audience favourite musician Linda Capewell will provide live entertainment, bringing her distinctive style and energy to the celebrations.

The social highlight of the Gallery program will be the official opening of all exhibitions on Friday 17 July, offering visitors the opportunity to meet artists, celebrate the festival's creative achievements and enjoy an evening of art, conversation and community.

Warwick Art Gallery Director Karina Devine said the 2026 program reflects the diversity and strength of creative practice across the region and beyond.

"From internationally significant textile art projects and contemporary furniture design to community yarnbombing, live music and local makers, this year's program offers something for everyone. We are delighted to welcome visitors to experience the creativity, craftsmanship and sense of connection that make Jumpers and Jazz in July so special."
