Warwick Welcomes Celtic Powerhouse Murphy's Pigs

Murphy’s Pigs, Australia’s irrepressible Celtic-rock big band, are bringing trademark chaos, charm and energy to the Warwick Town Hall for a matinee on Sunday 10 May, “Lock Up Your Troughs” as they celebrate two decades of music, dance and mischief with their 20th Anniversary Concert.
Perfectly timed as a memorable Mother’s Day gift, this high-octane afternoon promises something for everyone — from rousing Celtic classics to contemporary favourites, alongside original material that showcases the band’s unique and unruly style.
What began in France in 2006 as a modest four-piece has grown into a powerhouse ensemble, earning a reputation as one of Australia’s most entertaining Celtic acts. Across twenty years, Murphy’s Pigs have collected multiple Australian Celtic Music Awards, along with back-to-back People’s Choice Awards at the 2024 and 2025 Australian Folk Music Awards. In 2024, they were also recognised by the Celtic Council of Australia for their passionate promotion of Celtic culture both at home and abroad.
Audiences can also expect the electrifying presence of the band’s award-winning dancers, The Piglets, whose high-energy performances add an extra dimension to the spectacle. Adding a strong local flavour, the concert will feature guest appearances from Warwick’s own Mini Melos, a talented children’s singing group sure to delight the crowd.
Opening the show will be local Americana favourites Rusty Pickups — a band that may not chase headlines but consistently earns its place alongside some of the country’s finest acts.
“We are looking forward to having some fun in Warwick and are very happy to share the stage with the Mini Melos and Americana band, Rusty Pickups,” said John Graham, known to fans as ‘Boss Hog’.
With humour, heart and plenty of volume, Murphy’s Pigs promise a Mother’s Day celebration to remember at the Warwick Town Hall.
